Mrs. Gum's 2nd grade class did a science experiment and made a "puking pumpkin."

Our 5th grade teacher, Mrs. Doig, applied for and was given permission to receive a Traveling Trunk from the American Battlefield Trust. The students got to view/try on the items from the Civil War era then Mrs. Doig had to send it to its next destination. I hope they enjoy it as much as our 5th graders did. Here are some pictures of them looking at Civil War replica items.

The Boreman Bohemian art club was awarded a grant for the 2022-2023 school year from the Community Foundation for the Ohio Valley, Harry E. And Olive T. Barth Charitable Trust- 2022. Over the course of the school year, the Boreman Bohemians (a group of 18, 3rd-5th grade students) were led by their art teacher, Mrs. Emma Olaru. Students had the opportunity to meet once a month to explore various printmaking practices (foam block prints, serigraphy, and gelli prints), making hand-built creations out of clay, using mixed-media to create animal collages, and painting portraits based on volunteer sitters. Throughout the process students had an opportunity to delve deeper into art practices and truly engage their creativity. Mrs. Olaru and the students would like to extend a sincere thank-you to the Community Foundation for the Ohio Valley, Harry E. And Olive T. Barth Charitable Trust- 2022 for awarding the art club such a generous grant.
